Some of you may just have to answer the call of your sweet, salty, creamy or savoury tooth.
If you find yourself in a long line-up at the store with one of those unnecessary purchases in your cart, use the time to reconsider the Call of the Impulse!
Ask yourself whether you really need that bag of chips, or the litre of ice-cream. What do you need, instead? Perhaps you’re tired and are looking to the sugar to give you a boost, when what you really need is a nap. Or maybe the ice-cream is synonymous with self-soothing. Would that craving be better answered with some real “Face-Time” with your friends or family?
Look at the long line-up as a little stick-to-your-diet-help from above or beyond.

Paperwork, taxes and tidying. How do you get things accomplished when every joint aches and the fatigue seems insurmountable? Or when you just don’t feel like it?
The answer lies in the twist of the timer.
Set it for ten minutes and start on your paperwork, dishes, exercise or whatever it is that you’ve been postponing or ignoring.
You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish in just ten minutes and more. More, because sometimes the biggest battle is in the mind. Getting started is often the hardest part, but if you can talk yourself into just ten minutes, you may get on a roll and keep going until the job is done.

With a bit of planning, you can take care of a number of errands in one outing. Stay on course by plotting the most direct route for your excursion. If possible, take advantage of times when the traffic is lighter.
You’ll be rewarded with energy savings – for you and your vehicle!

I like to keep a flashlight on my nightstand, in case of a power outage or when I don’t want to turn on the lights for a middle-of-the-night trip to the bathroom.
In my semi-somnolent state, I have been known to send the flashlight rolling away. A simple solution is to wrap several elastics around the flashlight. (It makes it easier to grip, too.)
