If I decide to bake cookies from The Friends of Sunset Country or my well-thumbed Kinette Cookbook, circa 1980, I’ll often decrease the sugar by a 1/4 or a 1/3 of a cup. Sometimes, a recipe is just too sweet.
I don’t mind tweaking a recipe; more often than not, it works. Plus, it’s a bit of a culinary adventure to see what’s cooking!
Do you ever adjust your recipes?
