Hugs All Around

I’ll resort to using the store’s shopping basket when I don’t feel like getting a shopping cart or bringing Jimmy in the store with me.

Carrying a basket, regardless how full, can be hard on my hands. Instead, I use the bigger muscles (that’s questionable :) ) of my arms to do the work.

By hugging the basket in towards me, I sneak in some isometric exercises.

Friendly Reminder!  Please visit From Chopin and Beyond – Part 1 Draw for a book giveaway! Deadline is tonight at midnight, P.S.T.

Roll In, Roll Out

It may be an indication that I’ve turned another chapter in the book that is my life! What do you think? :)

If  I’m only getting a few items at the store, I now bring one of these – pictured at right – with me.

I don’t have to strain my hands with the shopping basket, nor do I have to do it again when I carry the bags out of the store.

Sometimes, I don’t want to go through all the hoopla of finding a cart, struggling to unlock it from the others (not easy with arthritic hands), and then repeating the process when I’m done shopping.

Update: I’ve decided to name my portable shopping cart  ”Jimmy”, after Captain James Cook, a man who managed to travel extensively.
