Small Things, Big Impact

On a daily basis, do the small things that make you smile. They do add up. That first cup of coffee, a hot shower, a hug from your child, the smell of a bar of soap that transports you back to another place and time, a glance at your favourite piece of art work.

Don’t take these things for granted. Would you miss them if they were gone?

They may be small, but they have a big impact – if you are aware that it’s the pleasure that you get from them that helps to transform your stress. Consider the things you love as a restorative balm, one that serves to soothe the cascade of chemicals that are released when you are stressed (soaking in negative thoughts and emotions).
