#379 – Tea(se) Your Taste Buds + a Giveaway

Tea TinI was prowling the house; I wanted chocolate, or at least something sweet. NOW!

The cupboards were purposely bereft of such tempting treats. I knew that I had to tempt my taste buds with something. What, though?

Then, I remembered my pickle trick; but I wasn’t in the mood for pickles.

I did say I was on the prowl, didn’t I? Well, I opened my herbal/decaffeinated tea tin and there it was – the perfect thing to distract me from my cravings.

Decaffeinated Chai Spice by Stash Tea. It has enough flavour to excite my taste buds, and at the same time, kill the craving for something sweet. (Thanks, Nancy, for introducing this tea to me!)

Now, here’s the fun part. I wrote to Stash Tea to see if they could tea(se) your taste buds. They have generously agreed to giveaway one Chai Tea sampler pack with a variety of Chai Teas.

  1. Tea is a versitile home remedy for what ails you.

  2. Tea is good for what ails you.

  3. Oops; I just realized that was awfully similar to S. Emerson’s comment. How about this: Tea is a calming influence.

  4. Tea is my favourite way to de-stress and relax after a long and busy day of work.

It doesn’t start with “Tea Is…”, but I would also say:

“Snuggling on the couch with a rottweiler and a warm cup of tea is my favourite way to de-stress and relax after a long and busy day of work.”

  5. Tea helps me to relax(but you made me look for chocolate)

  6. Tea is relaxing & enyoying the moment.

  7. Tea is a porridge of delights.

  8. …”is not coffee, but sometimes I drink it anyway.”

  9. Tea is green, light, clean. Sipped between sushi shared with good friends.
Tea is steeped sophistication served in elegant fine bone china. Cordial murmurs and a raised pinkie, please.
Tea is Trek-trendy. Earl Grey. Hot. Make it so.

  10. Tea brings me a sense of calm & comfort while offering a tasty and healthy treat!

  11. Tea is my mainstay, without it I would never get out of bed.

  12. Tea is appropriate at any time of day.

  13. I tweeted about your giveaway!

    Thank you!!

  14. Tea is essential at our house. My hubby teases me because we likely could survive without another tea purchase for six months! We love our tea here! And we love having a variety of teas available to us. Oh, and Stash makes some pretty darned awesome Chai Teas, by the way!

  15. My tweet!

  16. Tea is a vacation in a cup.

  17. Good!

  18. Tea is a comforting hug when no one is around to give you one. I’ve had some truly miserable days where none of my friends or my partner were around and I was out of chocolate, but tea has always been there. It fills you with warmth and peace and calmness with the first sip and those feelings continue as you continue to drink your cup. It’s makes the bad days a little less bad.

  19. Tea is the perfect drink after coming in from the cold, and before going out in the cold (and my, it is cold here right now!). Tea is a staple in my pantry, tucked into my briefcase, and toted around in my purse. Tea is the drink I turn to when I am taking some thinking time, when I invite someone into my home, and sometimes I also give it away (last weekend, my sister and I wrapped 150 tea bags in pretty little envelopes with quotes on them as a giveaway for a women’s event called New Year New You!).

  20. Tea is my favourite way to unwind at the end of the day!

  21. TEA is calming, warming, comforting, healthy and just the BEST drink available after plain clean clear water!!!

  22. Tea is a great thing to share with a friend.

  23. Tea is my mini vacation, sometimes alone, sometimes shared with a friend.

  24. Tea is the signal to my family that all I need in the world is comfort ~ that little bound bundle with its flag resting against the edge of my favorite cup. If they see me with a cup of tea, they know I’m taking care of myself, body and spirit.

  25. Tea is comforting – I grew up with it and love it still!

  26. Tea is not only soothing and relaxing as a drink but it can also be an excellent facial steamer; all you need to do is place your face in front of a steaming pot of tea (with a towel) for about 15 minutes and your pores will have been cleansed… You can then add on a facial mask (a crushed banana will work) and your skin will feel soft and refreshed 🙂

  27. Well, this was fun! It’s evident that for many, tea is so much more than a “drink with toast and jam”. 🙂

I’m pleased to announce that Karen is the winner of the giveaway for the Stash Tea sample pack.

Thanks to all of you for supporting this giveaway; your participation has encouraged me to seek out other giveaways.

  28. Good Morning, I am very happy with the sampling of Stash Tea. They sent 5 different kinds of Chai tea. Green, Spice, Black, Epice and White. The boys and I had never had Chai tea so it was a little different but it is growing on us.
Thank you Stash Tea and Thank you to Marianna!

    • Hi Karen,
I once read somewhere that it takes our taste buds at least 10 times before they get used to a new flavour. It seems to be the case here since you say it is growing on you. 🙂
